After the success of RSP12 Edwards LifeSciences, leaders in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring asked for another, similar, bus conversion to join RSP12 in touring the European Union and UK.
Fortunately we had two other ex BBC outside broadcast vehicles awaiting conversion and after discussions with Edwards we moved the conversion and development of the awaiting single decker bus to our new facility, commenced work and rebuilt the bus interior.
Based upon our updated knowledge of how the tour operated we were able to add additional features and altered the interior design slightly, improving the look and feel of the interior.
In addition to the solar panels and leisure battery system installed we added a small built-in generator as a back-up, installed higher quality worktops, cupboard doors, improved awning, blocked off windows and installed skylights and utilised the false floor to store the 300ltrs of water tanks required by the bus.
Although the build was ordered and undertaken during the Covid-19 pandemic we still managed to undertake the build and deliver within the same timescale as the original bus, 8 weeks in total
