Promotional Bus

RSP14 is a Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL Standard Class Double Decker promotional Training Bus, originally operating as a London service bus, prior to being bought by Maplin Electronics and converted into a promotional bus, used to promote new store openings.

Maplin soon found that managing a double decker bus wasn’t as simple as first thought and we took over management, via our vehicle management service and subsequent upgrade, via our vehicle conversion and vehicle branding services, in 2015

By 2016 Maplin decided that they no longer wished to operate the vehicle, which we then acquired and subsequently put a new interior, more suited to general hire requirements.

In addition, the vehicle was the first and probably one of the greenest vehicles within the standard class buses in the fleet, with 1kw of solar panels fitted to the roof and a bank of leisure batteries charged by the movement of the bus.

Training Bus

RSP14 has many benefits when it comes to use as a training vehicle, the range of built-in on-board features and fixtures makes the vehicle unique.

Promotional features include, minimal to full external branding over the bodywork, internal branding areas over windows and walls allowing clients to really market the product, service or concept the bus is promoting.

The vehicle is different to other double decker buses in the fleet, having a middle staircase, which allowed us to be a little more creative with the layout, creating a meet and greet area at the entrance, with a classroom style system to the rear and separate kitchen/Office/Driver cab area

To the upper deck we installed a concertina style wall, which when in use splits the upper saloon in to 2 separate areas and when not in use folds against the stairway creating an open plan upper deck

When it comes to AV equipment the bus is configured with 1 x Lower saloon LCD TV and DVD combo’s which are linked together to display DVD’s and 3 x Upper saloon SMART LCD TV with own DVD player or laptop connection.

In addition, the bus has a number of built-in, drop, worktops, whiteboards and leaflet dispensers for displaying products and/or literature and a range of storage areas.

Although its primary use is expected to be for group training the bus is also suitable for a wide range of event duties ranging from staff awareness campaigns to meeting and hospitality usage.
