Roadshow Promotions Autumn 2023 Review
Mental health. Adult numeracy. Alpine skiing. There really is no end to the campaigns you can take on tour with a promotional bus.
The people behind the promotions
It’s possible that, once your campaign bus starts its journey, the only member of our team you’ll see will be the driver. So, as we launch this review of what we’ve been up to over the autumn, we’d like to highlight the work of the team behind the scenes.
There’s lots that goes into getting a bus ready for its roadshow. Designers, joiners, electricians, plumbers, IT specialists, drivers, logistics: when your branded bus arrives raring for action, dozens of people will have played a part in getting it on the road, to your specification and in your branding.
So, thank you to our specialist team who work so hard, and here’s what they’ve all been up to this season…
The ski’s the limit
Verbier is the quintessential Alpine ski resort. But when you’re in charge of marketing a Swiss ski destination, how do you bring its slopes, style and luxury to the distinctly flat and not exactly snow-covered streets of Shoreditch?
Heaven Publicity, on behalf of Verbier Tourism, chose to do it with a Roadshow Promotions double decker digital screen bus, which gave visitors an immersive taste of the resort, its surroundings, tastes and accommodation as part of its ‘London Calling’ campaign.
An instant crowd magnet, the bus attracted hundreds of people intrigued by the prospect of experiencing Verbier’s winter wonderland firsthand.
Taking mental health awareness mobile
One of the challenges in raising awareness about mental health is that the people who need support most are often among the least likely to seek it out. Fortunately, Vita Health Group had a plan to address that issue.
They chose to take one of our mobile health buses for a 14-day ‘Get on Board with Your Mental Health’ campaign across Leicester and Rutland, raising awareness about mental health and debunking common myths.
Almost 2,000 people engaged with the bus on its tour, but that wasn’t the only measure of success, as Sarah Mather, Head of Marketing at Vita Health Group, explained:
Earlier this year, we launched our modular promotional buses. These combine clever customisability which enables you to tailor each bus to your brand and campaign objectives, with a modular approach that’s kind to budgets and timescales.
They’re ideal for short-term tours, intermittent campaigns (the sort that run through spring then restart in autumn, for example) and short notice projects. And they’ve proved a big hit with campaign managers wanting to mix full branding potential and quick turnarounds with cost effectiveness.
Runway Training counts on a promotional bus
One company that knows all about the promotional power of our modular
buses is Runway Training. The team has just finished its latest Multiply
tour, a government initiative to help adults develop their numeracy
Having already completed a tour earlier in the season, the team has just finished another roadshow which brought the campaign bus to Cambridge, Ely, Duxford and Wisbech.
Expand your promotional reach with Roadshow Digital
Our promotional buses are busy expanding our clients’ reach in a powerful physical way, but every modern marketing campaign doesn’t just stay in its own lane. True success comes from being where your customers are, and that means being multi-channel, mixing the physical and digital.
So we’re delighted to announce the launch of Roadshow Digital, sister company to Roadshow Promotions. Roadshow Digital focuses on building tailored digital strategies that drive growth and achieve measurable results.
If you’ve already worked with us on a campaign bus, you’ll know exactly what to expect from our digital capability.
Right now, we’re busy discussing exciting new projects, planning tours, and converting buses for a whole new batch of promotional campaigns that will take place over the winter. We’ll share more in our next review, but in the meantime…
