NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) requested an inoculation bus to undertake Covid-19 inoculations for the NHS in Devon.
NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group are the organisation responsible for planning, commissioning (or buying) and developing healthcare services for the 1.2 million people who live in Devon. The CCG is a membership body, made up of all the GP practices in Devon. They are led by a governing body of healthcare professionals – including local GPs, nurses, consultants and lay members – who ensure that we commission safe and effective healthcare services, within their budget
The bus needed to comply with current covid pandemic restrictions, insomuch as it allowed social distancing, they also needed a room for staff to process the visitors, we recommended RSP11 which with the addition of steps for its emergency exit allowed for a one way system for the bus, with the premise of one person outside, waiting to board, one in the waiting area and finally one in the rear consultation room receiving the Covid jab.
The CCG agreed that this was the bus for them and the booking was agreed.
