County Durham have hired one of our Health Buses to undertake a 6mth tour of the region promotion the school nurse service via the “Growing Health” campaign.
The single decker mobile clinic bus, recently updated to provide 1 or 2 consultation rooms and resprayed white to match other vehicles within the fleet, will be travelling to small towns and villages within the County Durham area, spending a week at each location visiting primary and secondary schools in the area, raising awareness of the school nurse network.
The health bus was dispatched with a single consultation room and open plan midsection configuration, providing both private and public areas on the vehicle to undertake one to one or group chats.
The bus was also enabled with mobile broadband internet allowing staff and visitors to connect with various websites and services over the internet
The onboard staff are available to answer any queries from the general public, particularly parents of the children in the area
