The Great Cheese Sandwich Giveaway
Approached by the agent for Anchor Cheese, we were asked to provide a double decker promotional bus, fully branded to the outside, for a 105 location 92 day tour of the UK.
The bus would be used to make cheese sandwiches which would be given away free to residents and workers in each of the locations the bus visited
We suggested RSP04 one of our double decker promotional buses, for the tour, which the client, after viewing a number of images of both the inside and out agreed
A few minor alterations were required on the event bus, such as improved workspaces and a couple of fridges to keep the butter cool
The bus spent a gruelling 92 days on the road travelling to a different location everyday, we assisted with the logistical support, highlighting the most cost effective route that provided the maximum time at each location. We also swapped drivers on a regular basis due to the high levels of driving required with this non stop tour.
Overall the bus was a roaring success and over 1/2 million cheese sandwiches made and given away from the bus
The promotional bus departed Blackpool for the start location on 4th February to Plymouth for the start of the 92 day tour of the UK, ending in Inverness, the hope being to give away thousands of cheese sandwiches at each of the locations the bus visits
The cheese sandwiches, which will be made on the bus, will receive daily deliveries of bread, the cheese, butter and other perishables will be following the bus in a refrigerated van, hired in for the tour
